OK, typical scene. Eight guys enter a nightclub (MOA Club, Geneva), nice chicks, beautiful people hanging around with glasses of colorful drinks. Lasers rotate fastly at the sound of a kind of “Commodore 64″ tune, some heavy electronic sound which I happen not to dislike. Everywhere, a white-on-black icon: painted on the walls, t-shirts on the curvy breasts of beautiful young ladies, and projected everywhere… wait… i know these pixels: the space invaders! Yes, it was a kind of “space invaders” party. And there was this french fat guy, with a space invaders t-shirt, sweaty forehead, vinyl disc in and out, and one of these keyboards which you handle like a guitar. Some familiar tunes, chicks and beers pass by, idiots dancing at the fast pace of alcohol and god-knows-what-else…

Someone says to me: “this buddy must be a famous… look at the amount of people taking pics with cellphones and cheering the guy”. Well, “famous” is a kind of misleading term in France/Switzerland… they tend to isolate themselves in some musical areas. But… true: in fact, it looked as if someone famous was in the house… it was a folk called Joachim Garraud, but I had never heard of him. “Not bad”, I thought, “at least it looks as if he actually composes stuff…”

Oh, and there’s this big black guy who points his giant finger at my threesome shirt and says “Man, j’aime ton T-Shirt!“…

This morn… eeerr… afternoon, we found out that this Garraud folk is actually famous, mainly for his association with the famous DJ David Guetta. After some information harvested from our dance music sources, we finally found out that many people would have liked to see Garraud live… intentionally!

Yeah,  it happens… saturday night, nothing to do… let’s go somewhere and have some fun, and see some famous DJ by accident…
